Job Title: Product Manager
Location: Kingston Head Office
RESPONSIBILITIES
For Unilever to remain competitive in the future, the business needs to continue its path to become data intelligent. The Data and Analytics (D&A) team is responsible for building data, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the business become data intelligent and drive business and organization performance. The team will deliver advanced analytics products at scale and work closely with the market & function teams to ensure that decisions in Unilever are augmented with insight & recommendations wherever possible.
Agile Product Delivery
- Deliver innovation in an agile environment.
- Prioritise the innovation backlog with project team and key stakeholders.
- Closely monitor development team to ensure innovation requirements.
- Attend daily ‘stand up’ meetings and other relevant agile ceremonies with suppliers to ensure project innovation is on track and understand relevant risk and/or issues.
Define the product
- Work with Key Business stakeholders to identify business problems and create opportunities for product enhancements and development.
- Create and evolve product vision based on the users’ feedback, pain points and outcomes.
- Build a product roadmap and ensure that the prioritised product features are integrated into each sprint cycle and backlog.
- Work closely with UX team during a Design Thinking stage and product development to deliver user-friendly solution.
- Regularly validate concepts, designs, and prototypes with end users to ensure our products deliver high value to the business.
Stakeholder and User engagement
- Have a user-centric mindset in all decisions related to the product.
- Work closely with the key users to optimize and redefine the vision and business goals of the products.
- Build a partnership with the D&A Technology Delivery and Operations teams to ensure the prioritised features are getting developed and validated against business requirements and ensure a cutover to Operational IT support.
Team management:
- Manage a squad of business analysts and SMEs and help them grow their skills and experience.
- Oversee and lead the work of the squad and organise their responsibilities according to their profiles, skills, and development areas.
- Define the team goals for upcoming periods and a comprehensive plan to achieve them.
