**Job Summary**
**Position Summary**
The Production Manager plays an integral role in the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility by ensuring all GMPs, SOPs and internal procedures are being followed. The incumbent also ensures compliance with current legislation regarding CFIA, OMAFRA and municipal governing bodies. The production manager is responsible for an organized workflow for current and upcoming days. They will verify staff are properly documenting all activities and procedures. This is a hands-on, visible role and will require the manager to have a strong presence in the production and warehouse areas.
**Key Responsibilities**
- General_
- Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, Standard Operating Procedures, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP and Health & Safety policies at all times.
- Complete scheduling of labour and production needs
- Review Inventory levels and report ordering needs.
- Help on the production floor or warehouse, as the need arises (illness, injuries, etc.).
- Investigate and troubleshoot root cause for equipment breakdowns and contact trades when needed.
- After-hours availability for troubleshooting emergencies.
- Administer and document disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Verify all daily, weekly, monthly paperwork is completed and acceptable.
- Production Line_
- Organize daily production schedule and delegate tasks to supervisors and/or line workers.
- Verifying accurate product quality and ensuring output that meets company standards.
- Must be familiar with operating production machinery.
- Monitors and documents all production-related activities on relevant paperwork.
- Ensure product samples are retained and stored within a two-year cycle.
- General equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Warehouse_
- Must be familiar with operating warehouse machinery.
- Organize picking sheets for warehouse staff when needed.
- Help warehouse staff when needed.
- Must be familiar with shipping & receiving procedures.
- Ensure a full record of incoming & outgoing goods is maintained.
- Monitor refrigerated storage for product rotation.
- Assign non-production sanitation tasks.
**Qualifications**
- Completion of high school education or equivalent.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in food or dairy manufacturing preferred.
**Abilities Required**
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
- Well-developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25 Kg.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites and Google workspace
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $47,500.00-$60,000.00 per year
