**Real Estate **Manager**:
Are you a commercial real estate professional looking for an opportunity to work in one of the most diverse companies in Atlantic Canada? If so, this position may be for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Respond to internal and external real estate enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the Director on various commercial, industrial, retail, residential and mixed-use projects
- Independently lead the negotiate, document and track of internal lease agreements.
- Support the Director or lead negotiations of third-party leases, licenses, listing agreements, and easements.
- Assist with preparation of real estate legal transaction documents (leases, REOA’s, APS’s etc.).
- Prepare presentations, business cases, and other materials for the executive team.
- Identify opportunities to optimize our existing real estate portfolio and individual assets.
- Identify real estate sale and acquisition opportunities.
- Manage consultants and due diligence activities for land acquisitions, development and building projects.
- Other related activities as requested by the Director of Real Estate.

- Ability to analyze and research information such as demographic data, market data, financial proformas, real estate title documents, engineering reports, urban planning documents.

**Education and Experience**:

- Undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Commerce, or other related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years work experience in a similar role and/or a related graduate degree or certificate.
- Professional designations such as AACI, MCIP etc. and or professional courses considered an asset.

**Technical / Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated experience in real estate deals (leases, licenses, Sales, and Acquisitions) preferred.
- Ability to review and understand drawings, technical documents, etc.
- Maintain working knowledge of market trends, sales data, cap rates and rental rates.
- General knowledge of land use planning regulations and implications for property transactions.
- General knowledge pertaining real property law, civil engineering, leasing, valuation, legal surveys, site development due diligence, finance, and cost estimating.
- Highly developed negotiation and sales skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide mediation between competing interests.

**Other Requirements**:

- Located in or willingness to relocate to Dartmouth, NS or Saint John, NB.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable drivers abstract.
- Government of Canada “Reliability” security clearance may be required.
- Proficiency in English is essential. Proficiency is French is considered an asset.
- Travel required throughout Atlantic Canada, and possibly outside Atlantic Canada.
