Reporting to the Sr. VP of Operations, the Logistics & Operations Advisor is a key member of our Logistics and Operations Advisor AKA SWAT Team responsible for providing dispatch training and support, and to identify ways to improve our systems and teams. KAG Canada’s SWAT team is a group of experienced professionals who assist in sustaining, servicing, and growing the operation. SWAT provides both onsite and remote support to all terminals across the company.

**About the position**:

- Observe and document the processes and practices in place by terminal dispatch center. Understand workflow, and where applicable implement a streamlined approach
- Develop and maintain an inventory of processes and workflows
- Onboard and train new team members on work process and the TMW operating system.
- Conduct reoccurring dispatch training seminars
- Troubleshoot and cover needs of the business for staffing shortages
- Provide standardized and reoccurring training to all dispatch centers on standardized use of systems
- Support companywide efforts to plan, coordinate and execute on seasonal projects
- Analyze and report on areas where there are or may be potential service issues and work with TM’s to provide solution to the issue as they are identified

What you bring:

- Post-secondary education within a related field or experience
- Several years of diverse experience with leadership responsibilities in the transportation industry
- Extensive dispatch experience with bulk commodities
- Experience with Windows-based programs; TMW experience is required
- Facilitating the effective utilization of people and equipment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic, and confident with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively within Canada.
- Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- A solid business presence complimented by personal drive, resourcefulness, maturity, integrity, honesty, and sound business judgment
