The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

In Human Resources (HR), we support a large, distributed organization with a range of services from our Talent & Compensation, Organizational Development & Change, Employee Relations and Investigations, and Occupational Health and Safety teams. The Employee Relations Analyst supports the Employee Relations and Investigation department by being the first point of contact for investigations. This position completes activities for discipline, grievances and investigations including gathering documents and evidence for grievances & investigations, preparing scripts, writing letters of expectation for minor incidents, and performing research regarding collective bargaining or special projects as assigned by the Senior Employee Relations Analyst, and/or Employee Relations team members. This position is a critical role in supporting the Employee Relations and Investigations department and the business.

A criminal record check is required. This position is excluded from union membership.

Ability to travel overnight within the Province of British Columbia is required.

**Position Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:
Minimum of 1-year, recent, related experience* as a Human Resources practitioner within a unionized environment with formal coursework in Human Resources or related field.

Or

A minimum of 2 years of recent, related experience* as a Human Resources practitioner within a unionized environment.
- Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last 5 years and must include the following.
- Experience providing general guidance on collective agreement, policy and legislation interpretation in the area of labour relations.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience utilizing various systems to extract and maintain data ensuring integrity and accuracy of information.
- Experience collecting and drafting statistical information related to department’s work to communicate/summarize findings to stakeholders.
- Experience in organizing and supporting aspects of training and development activities including tracking, schedule/dates etc.
- Experience performing quality assurance checks on program deliverables.
