**Position Summary**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Overdose Prevention HIV/AIDS Prevention Program department.-
**Shift Rotation/Hours of work**: Days, Evenings - 13:00 to 23:30, rotating**Prince George** has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. **Qualifications**
- Diploma in Social Services or related program (2 years) with completion of approved additions or substance use training or certificate program plus one-year recent related experience working with individuals with substance use disorders; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have valid Class 5 BC driver’s license.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Knowledge of current social issues related to substance use, homelessness, mental health, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships following harm reduction principles.
- Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to problem solve and deal with conflict effectively.
- Ability to use critical thinking and assess risk to intervene and de-escalate critical incidents.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently, with indirect supervision, and in cooperation with others.
- Knowledge of community resources.
