Allied Universal is seeking** Professional Security Supervisor in Edmonton Alberta.**

The Mall Security Supervisor is a senior position and is responsible for delivery of all Security, Life Safety, OH&S and security systems technical service and support to the designated portfolio. The primary objective of the Security Manager is to ensure that the security department in the assigned portfolio is being managed and maintained in a safe responsible manner, in accordance with Company policies and to the highest level of operational efficiency.
- **Pay rate $20/hr**
- ** Must Have 2 to 3 years experience in personnel management.**:

- **Must have 1+ years of security experience in a mall setting.**:

- **Experience with access control systems and alarm monitoring procedures.**:

- **Experience with report writing and note taking skill**:

- **Experience with CCTV monitoring system.**

**Key Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities**

Oversee and ensure the efficacy of the Security Department.With subordinate staff, ensure the appropriate training, coaching, and support.Field requests from Mall Maintainence, Management and retail tenants, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and professional manner, escalating matters to the Property Representative, as required.Ensure Property Representative is kept apprised of all tenant issues/concerns within the mall.Conduct regular ‘spot checks,' on all pass-on processes, to ensure the effective transmission of accurate and relevant information.Monitor overall conduct and performance of all subordinate guards.Schedule all guards, for maximum coverage keeping to employement standards and company NBOT guidelines.Ensure all guards are adequately patrolling during their shifts, maintaining a high standard of dress, deportment, and disciplineProvide ongoing mentorship with regards to leadership.Review all reports, coach those individuals that have reports not up to standard.Assign/redistribute secondary duties, as operational needs dictate.Ensure all guards maintain familiarity with technical systems.Ensure compliance with all corporate mandated training requirements for staff.Where applicable, personally monitor training, so as to ensure standardization.Maintain awareness of training & licensing expiries and notify staff members well in advance..Liaise with all service providers.Conducting table top training exercises for management of critical incidents, with security staff, management and operations staffMaintain, as current, the Crisis Response Plan and all site specific information relating thereto.Review all departmental processes for efficiency and best practices.Audit all departmental policies / SOP's, annually, to ensure concurrence with best practices.Audit all departmental training, annually, to ensure concurrence with the objectives of the role.Liaise with other departments to foster a philosophy of cooperation and mutual support.Any other secondary duty(s) as dictated by operational necessity.

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:

- Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Able to:

- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
