**Job Summary**
- Dalhousie Financial Services strives to provide the highest quality financial services and information and ensure the effective stewardship of University assets to the benefit of students and scholarly activities. Financial Services is a core service unit of the University, providing services in areas of financial accounting, budgeting, procurement and risk management, cash management, and financial systems and policies. Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for preparing documents for processing, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete. They are also responsible for efficient processing of invoices/claims into Banner for payment and covering reception and mail distribution on a hybrid model.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Enter manual claims (travel claims, cheque requisitions, PDA forms) and invoices (PO and NON PO) into Banner for payment. Upload supporting documentation for claims.
- Request information from departments regarding invoices, if needed.
- Review various reports to follow-up and complete outstanding transactions.
- Provide reception coverage on a rotating schedule. Greet and assist business visitors with inquiries and open and distribute mail.
- Assists in other areas of the unit to support operations during peak periods, as needed.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Business/Office Administration program with at least three years’ related work experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

**Assets**
- Previous experience with accounts payable.
- Experience in university or government setting.
- Experience with Banner.
