**The Opportunity**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of dedicated staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality children’s programs and services.
- Oversee and engage with Program Coordinators who are planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring programs that facilitate learning and development for children ages 0-12 and families.
- In collaboration with MFRC management team members, use data-driven approaches to continuously improve program delivery and meet the evolving needs of children, families, and community members.
- Stay informed of best practices, research findings, and emerging trends in child development and education, integrating new knowledge into program design and implementation.
- Engage with current children’s programs partner, donors, and stakeholders, ensuring proactive communication and timely and accurate program reporting.
- Engage with MFRC’s Program Director, Fundraising and Strategic Engagements Manager and Executive Director in pursuing new funding and investment that allows us to grow and improve children’s programs to better meet the needs of the communities we serve.
- Collaborate with HR and Operation Manager with planning, recruitment, onboarding, evaluating, and training of children’s team staff, placement students and volunteers.
- Assist with onsite supervision for all Programs staff, placement students, volunteers.
- Monitor program outcomes, impact, and data collection; ensure teams are recording daily statistics and inputting them into internal and external databases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies, maintaining a strong commitment to quality, safety, and equity of children’s programming; recommend improvements to programming and organization, based on community needs.
- Collaborate with HR and Operation Manager with planning, recruitment, onboarding and training of children’s team staff, placement students and volunteers.
- Conduct performance evaluations of staff in consultation with the Program Director and Executive Director
- Identify and document any critical incidents and disciplinary problems; ensure to communicate in timely matter to Executive Director and Program Director.
- Maintain and establishes new and existing partnerships such as local schools, libraries, community organization that can enhance Children’s Programs
- Work with Communications team to ensure communication plan is executed and align with funders, partners and MFRC’s deliverables.
- In conjunction with Program Coordinators, ensure budgets, expenses, payroll, and other financials are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on outputs, outcomes, reporting, staffing, statistics, and other program relevant files.

**Necessary Skills/Qualifications and Other Requirements**:

- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Education, or relevant background
- 3 years or more experience in a supervisory role in social services, not-for-profit or relevant.
- Registered with College of Early Childhood Education is an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing EarlyON and Children’s programs, with a commitment to ensuring compliance and quality improvement.
- Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with strong planning, priority setting and organizational skills.
- Strong Leadership skills with experience supervising a diverse group of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, secure funding, and optimize resources to maximize program impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and inspire a shared vision.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience working with diverse populations and addressing systemic barriers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of using data to drive decision-making and achieve measurable results.
- A valid driver’s license is an asset.
- Familiarity with the Malvern neighborhood or surrounding neighborhoods is an asset.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen if over 18 years of age.
