Dh-stewarding Supervisor

**Position Summary**
The Stewarding Supervisor will be responsible for all operations in the Stewarding department and monitoring all aspects of cleanliness and health standard.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Develop and build strong team relationships within the department and inter-departmentally
- Work closely with outlet leaders to maintain adequate levels of china, silver and glass par stock levels in all outlets
- Plays an active role in the recruiting process, departmental orientation and training of new hosts
- Assist in monitoring and striving to stay within budgetary guidelines
- Provides daily coaching and development to the Stewarding hosts
- Assist in the operations of the Stewarding department to ensures friendly, courteous and efficient service is extended to all guests/hosts
- Reviewing daily; Schedule business levels vs. Departmental staffing requirements
- Completing quarterly inventory checks to ensure adequate supply of tools, chemicals etc.
- Effective and clear communication to all departments required
- Assist the Chief Steward to seek new ways to raise the bar for best practices
- Ensure that all H&S incidents are dealt with in a timely manner and prevented in the future
- Follow and provide all hotel Health & Safety requirements; Personal Protective Equipment, Safe Work procedures
- Promote, communicate and adhere to all Environmental standards put out by the resort
- Follow up to ensure all duties have been completed to standard
- Ensures support of the Open-Door Policy
- Managing and scheduling monthly departmental meetings and training sessions
- Ensures the well-being of our guests and hosts by being alert to and reporting potential hazards
- Comfortable making decisions and develops recommendations for effective problem solving
- Completes all other duties as assigned

- Able to occasionally work outdoors in seasonal temperatures
- Able to stand, lift, carry & move constantly 11 to 29 pounds, frequently 30 to 49 pounds, occasionally 50 to 75 pounds
***Education & Experience**
- High School diploma is an asset
- A valid Ontario drivers license and clean driving record is required
- Current sanitation certificate is required
- WHMIS certification
- Previous leadership experience is required
**Visa Requirements**: Must be eligible to work in Canada
