**Salary**: $15.65 an hour

**Hours of Work**: 15 hours per week

**Location**: In-person component in Sipkne'katik First Nation, as well as remote work

**Employment Start Date**:February 5, 2023

**The opportunity**:
This position will work on the unceded traditional territory of the Mi'kmaq and will work with the community of Sipekne'katik First Nation

Under the supervision of the Indigenous Community Coordinator for Nova Scotia, this position will be responsible for planning and delivering educational programming for children in Sipekne'katik First Nation.

**Your main responsibilities and major duties**:
1) **Program Support & Delivery (60%)**
- Becoming familiar with program content
- Planning and delivering program sessions
- Working with and supporting community staff
- Evaluating programming with learners, parents, community partners, and community coordinator
- Purchasing and accessing all necessary materials and supplies

2) **Administrative Support (40%)**
- Data entry/analysis
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with partners/learners when neccesary, and plan events
- Communicate with program participants, partners, members of the community
- Assist with outreach, acknowledgements and reporting to funders, donors, and other key stakeholders

**Additional Assets**

Experience and education in structured literacy and foundational reading instruction is preferred, but not required.
