The Strategic People Programs develops and implements people strategies that support the business and the people of BC Assessment. The team is located at our Uptown and Vancouver offices and oversees talent acquisition, learning and development, leadership development, succession planning, the Performance Development Program and engagement for all BC Assessment employees. **Job Overview**
Reporting to the Director Strategic People, the People Practice Advisor, Workforce Planning will focus on workforce renewal, lead succession planning practice, strategic workforce planning, and leadership development. You will build out our career development supports, developing programs and tools for mentoring and knowledge transfer and reinforce the success of these processes through our performance management process.

To be successful you will have a passion for informing your work through the use of data and workforce analytics. You will relish the opportunity to work collaboratively with all areas and levels of the business, and challenge status quo thinking. You will foster talent by working both through individual coaching and developing system wide frameworks, ensuring BC Assessment has the right people, in the right place at the right time.

**Over the next year you will focus on**:

- Renewing our strategic workforce plan in alignment with our new Strategic Plan and within our post-pandemic reality.
- Developing and implementing succession plans for positions identified as critical to organizational continuity.
- Providing oversight to the corporate performance management program and partnering with systems personnel to further enable the use of Workday for performance management purposes.
- Conducting current workforce analysis, identifying strategically key roles and leading scenario planning sessions.

Expanding our leadership development practices and reinvigorating our career development program, fostering supports for mentoring and knowledge transfer.

**Qualifications**
**_Education _**
- Completion of a related degree in Leadership and Training, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Management Development or Adult Education.
- Master’s degree in OD, Organization Behaviour or Leadership would be an asset.
- Coaching designation would be an asset.

**_ Experience _**
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in people and organization development, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Experience in the design, development and delivery of corporate programs.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
