**About the Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation**
The Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation (TLCI) at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology serves students, faculty and staff in the following areas: Accessibility Services and Student Academic Support, Learning Commons (including the Library and Service Desk), Educational Development (including program and curriculum support, instructional support, professional development, Work Integrated Learning academic support, and Research and Scholarly Activity), Moodle and Google training and support, The Studio video production services, and the MakerSpace.

**The Opportunity**:_NOTE: This is a 12 or 18 month maternity leave coverage_**
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement” Job Classification: Technician II_
**Key Job Functions**:
- Provide Moodle (LMS) troubleshooting and problem-solving support to instructors and instructional assistants.
- Consult with Course Developers, Instructors and Educational Developers to assist in structuring quality digital learning environments.
- Execute desktop publishing of course materials using Adobe InDesign, Canva, Moodle books, and/or Google Apps for Education.
- Assist in facilitating Moodle training for instructors.
- Produce digital learning assets such as visuals, interactive media, and animations to enhance the learning experience.
- Perform duties related to copyright compliance (e.g., sourcing, referencing materials) and assist with various aspects of the course development process as identified by the Educational Development team.
- Provide technical support with a strong service orientation.
***Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Required**:
- Diploma in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Two years experience working in a post-secondary environment is an asset, but not required.
- Maintain organization and efficiency while working on a variety of projects.
- Build rapport with others, listen actively, and communicate effectively to contribute within a solution-focused collegial team.
- Display a proactive and flexible approach, and have the ability to manage and prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically to various stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with using the Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education, specifically Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and their collaborative functions is preferred.
- Graphic design skills and the ability to use layout and design software for the purpose of creating media objects to support diverse learner experience is an asset.
- Makes decisions with the College’s interests in mind, while demonstrating inclusivity, openness, transparency, civility, and respect.
- Actively promotes equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout the campus and our communities and serves as a real ally to all.
