Dynacare is looking for a Technical Assistant to join our Clinical Chemistry testing laboratory in London, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent position day shift working Monday - Friday.

The Technical Assistant will have advanced post-secondary education in chemistry or related sciences, ideally with hands on laboratory experience performing complex, manual methods and analyses.

**Responsibilities**

***
Work as a team with Medical Laboratory Technologists(MLT) and Clinical Laboratory Assistants(CLA) to provide timely and high quality results
- Perform preanalytical, analytical, and post analytical processes at an advanced level
- Calibrate and maintain equipment
- Prepare and verify reagents, calibrators and controls
- Collate data and information for MLT review and approval
- Comply with all quality management and regulatory policies and processes
- Assist with method development
- Perform CLA duties when required
- Maintain confidentiality
- Seek continuous learning and knowledge, in particular that applicable to a clinical chemistry medical laboratory

**Must Have**

- Advanced post-secondary education in related science
- Related laboratory experience (job or internship)
- High information processing capability
- Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (word, excel, outlook)
- Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- A high level of interpersonal skills, required to succeed in a collaborative working environment

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with UPLC, LCMSMSM, ICPMS, IRMS, FTIR, methods and instruments
- Experience performing hands on manual chemistry such as ELISA, RIA, extraction procedures.
- Experience with automated chemistry and immunoassay systems
