**Job Summary**
- The Dalhousie Arts Centre is a professional performing arts rental facility that offers a user-friendly service to a broad range of performing arts clients and audiences. Reporting to the Manager, Box Office, the Customer Service Associate ensures excellent customer service in the areas of sales and efficient and accurate administrative reporting, financial and daily operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the Arts Centre Box Office daily and processing of the Arts Centre ticket orders by phone and in-person.
- Input customer information into the computerized sales system and complete daily sales reports and ensure daily sales revenue and report are accurate.
- Supervise and guide part-time student staff with software concerns and ticket buyer requests. Advise customers on a variety of logistic and performance program information and review final choices before completing the sale.
- Maintain files for deposit information and daily sales reports, reporting revenue to Box Office Manager.
- Make sure event boards are up-to-date which includes, but not limited to, adding concert dates to boards outside box office windows when the tickets go on sale, remove previous month’s events and add next month’s events at the beginning of each month, etc.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies, i.e., various worksheets, envelopes, ticket stock, and credit card rolls, replace paper and tickets in printers when necessary and inform supervisor when new supplies are required. Perform other related duties as required.

**Note**
- Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus. Hours of work are anticipated to be Tuesday-Saturday 11:00am-6:00pm however will fluctuate based on operational needs

**Required Qualifications**
- Completion of a Business/Office Administration program, plus approximately two years’ related experience with a ticketing system (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office (especially Word and Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team-player who can adjust priorities under changing demands and conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem solve, and seek information when needed, as well as accuracy and attention to detail is key.
