Information Services Corporation (ISC) is hiring two (1) GIS Product Analyst on a temporary (up to 18 months), full-time basis.

- Develops new business opportunities for the Geomatics area of ISC in conjunction with Business Development and Product Strategy
- Participate in designing, and leading the implementation of new processes and procedures that will automate and streamline current workflows; and/or creating new or enhanced products and services
- Review and update current process maps and procedure documents
- Evaluate software currently utilized by ISC and research, compare, and provide recommendations on software changes and upgrades
- Provide specialized expertise and services to fulfill contractual obligations for a number of Geomatics customers including consulting with clients regarding their particular business needs and requirements, tutor clients on the structure and capabilities of ISC’s GIS Data products and services, use FME and other GIS software
- This position is considered a Subject Matter Expert for the FME software, and is the ‘go-to’ resource for technical questions related to GIS data and related processes, software, and procedures
- Position Requirements- A 2-year, post-secondary, Diploma in one or more of the following disciplines: GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Geomatics, Photogrammetry, Surveys, or related fields; and experience working in a technical setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience related to survey work, computer science, photogrammetry, GIS, or digital mapping will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of various types of GIS information, including property data, imagery data, topographic information, routing and point datasets, and associated types of data attribution
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with the use of spreadsheet formulas and conversions to other tabular formats and file types
- Knowledge of GIS theory, principals, GIS data structures and formats
- Knowledge of cartographic principals, the Dominion Land Survey System, and the National Topographic System
- Solid understanding of coordinate systems, datum projections, and spatial accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to gather requirements, transfer knowledge and ensure understanding of customer needs
- Advanced technical writing skills required to produce detailed process documents, training manuals, progress reports, technical requirements, test case documents, etc.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, FME software will be considered an asset
