**Position Description**:

We are currently looking for a **Manager, Finance/Controller - Treasury** to join our finance** **team, reporting to the Director, Corporate Finance & Treasury**.** In this role you will be responsible for the oversight, accounting and reporting of the Hospital employee pension plan, the SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health (¿CCMH¿) pension plan, investments held by the Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation (the ¿Foundation¿) as well as other key treasury functions including cash management.

**Here¿s What You¿ll Get to Do**:

- Monitor and oversee the multi-billion dollar investment portfolio of the Hospital and the Foundation by monitoring and reporting on investment manager performance in line with investment strategies
- Work closely with the custodian to implement asset allocation decisions made by the Board
- Determine and monitor the foreign currency exposures of the investment portfolios and execute derivative contracts to hedge foreign currency exposures
- Lead the financial accounting and reporting of the Hospital and the CCMH employee pension plans (including year-end audit) working closely with external actuaries to evaluate the financial health of the plan
- Prepare quarterly package for Investment and Pension Committee (the ¿Committee¿) of the Board, including investment performance reports and other key updates
- Responsible for the monthly accounting, reporting, analysis and reconciliations of investments and pension, including the preparation of reports for senior management
- Monitor the available cash of the Hospital including the development of comprehensive cash flow forecasts to help inform short-term cash management investment decisions
- Recommend short-term cash management strategies to CCMH management
- Oversee the accounting and reporting on Hospital-issued debt, including supporting the analysis and potential issuance of future debt
- Prepare investment and pension forecasts and multi-year budgets for the Hospital¿s operating and cash flow plans
- Support the Hospital¿s annual year-end external audit with financial statement preparation and notes disclosures
- Manage the Hospital & CCMH¿s relationship with external parties such as the custodian and banks, credit rating agency, investment managers, pension plan providers, payment card providers, actuaries and external auditors
- Partner with other finance teams and departments across the Hospital including the Human Resources Benefits team
- Manage a team of direct reports and actively engage in critical leadership and management activities including objective setting, performance monitoring, and growth and development
- Oversee all bank transfers and payment of fees related to investments and pensions
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by the Committee and other duties as required
