_Battle River Power Coop is a cooperative electric utility in Central Alberta supplying electricity to about 8,700 rural members. We have a staff of 62 employees engaged in all aspects of power distribution from installation to maintenance to billing, all administered from the same office near Camrose, Alberta._

**Marketing & Communication Manager**
We are looking for highly motivated individual to join our team as our corporate Marketing & Communication Manager. This is a permanent full-time position.
**General Summary**:
- Manage and execute proactive communication plans and strategies.
- Manage internal and external resources that currently support Battle River Power Coops communications and marketing.
- Establish positive relationships with the public, government and Battle River Power Coop membership.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit to drive creative innovation in corporate communications, marketing and brand awareness.
- Advise senior management and the Board of Directors on key messages and appropriate communication vehicles for internal and external audiences.
- Some of the work will be boring and repetitive, while the rest will test your creative license to continuously build on and improve who Battle River Power Coop is and could be.
- Organize and oversee community events
- Develop, organize, publish and effectively manage monthly communications to membership, government and staff.
- Develop and manage graphic design and content of corporate website and social media channels.
- Develop communication and marketing standards and ensure products are of high quality.
- Provide solid issues management advice and guidance.
- Manage or direct all media relations activities.
- This position reports directly to the Executive Office.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven, communications and marketing professional with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or public relations.
- A minimum of 3 years of communications and marketing management experience.
- Sound business judgement with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions in line with the corporate mission statement and values.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to continuously improve the public image of Battle River Power Coop.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, design software, website, etc.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
**Hours of Operation**: Hours of operation are generally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
