**Description**:
Located out of our Heartland Petrochemical Complex, the individual in the **Heartland Finance Student **role will report to Supervisor, Operations Accounting - Heartland. The Heartland Finance Student is responsible for working with the invoicing team to process a high volume of invoices and assist the Revenue Analyst with month end entries

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**:

- Working with the site accounting team tasks will include but not be limited to:

- Create and post journal entries
- Complete account reconciliations
- Support monthly cost and variance analysis
- Support development of annual budget and 5 year plan
- Assist team with development of process documentation
- Support all reporting activities including monthly, quarterly and capital
- Meet with cost owners to support forecast development- Ability to manage multi-entity, multi-currency environments
- Promote and implement business process improvements

**Education, Skills and Experience**:

- Accounting degree or working towards a CPA designation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- SAP/Maximo experience preferred
- Ability to set and meet challenging deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Effective team player with strong communication skills (both written and oral) to manage internal and external relationships

**Hours**:
9*80 work schedule
Open to 4 or 8 month term (starting May 2024)
