**_The opportunity_**

The Gildan Internship Program 2024 offers students the opportunity to participate in stimulating projects and gain valuable experience that will help them transition to the workplace. Our summer internship program will take place from May 13th to August 16th, 2024. As the Corporate Marketing and Communications Intern, you will support the execution of diverse strategic projects to elevate Gildan’s global reputation. From monitoring the news, writing copy, managing social media communities, updating and optimizing websites, preparing key messages, and compile data for reporting be ready to work on a wide array of projects that will introduce you the world of corporate reputation. Reporting to the Manager of Global Communications & Corporate Marketing and working closely with members of the team, this is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to learn the ropes of corporate communications and marketing within a global company.

**_ The role_**

**Content development**:

- Participate in the development of a wide array of communications and marketing collaterals, including, social media copy, web copy, articles, biographies, taglines, presentations, brochures, and more.
- Collaborate with members of the team to develop impactful campaigns.
- Support with web management by ensuring the website is always functional, user-friendly, and up
- to
- date with the latest content and features.
- Gather text, images, and multimedia as needed.

**Campaign and content go-live**:

- Maintain editorial content calendar by identifying key publication dates and shuffling content based on priorities and content preparedness.
- Support translation process.
- Assist in content uploads, checks, and go-lives across various digital platforms.

**Monitoring, research, and reporting**:

- Monitor Gildan’s digital/traditional reputation, and submit summaries as needed.
- Perform background research and prepare executive summaries on platforms updates, vendors, publications, trends, and more.
- Support in launching, monitoring, and optimizing paid advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and Google Ads.
- Learn how to track results and compile monthly/quarterly departmental reports.

**_ What you bring to the role_**

**Knowledge & Professional** **Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, management, or any relevant field

**Attributes**
- Strong writing skills in English (French, Spanish, or Bengali would be an asset)
- Ability to take initiative and learn quickly
- A good communicator and team player
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Patient and proactive in troubleshooting issues
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, and meeting deadlines
- This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees, or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French.
