**Responsibilities**:

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop x-rays of animals
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

**Skills**:

- Proficient in laboratory procedures, including blood work and urinalysis
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately
- Experience with surgical preparation and assistance
- Familiarity with x-ray equipment and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Toronto, ON M9N 1Z7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- veterinary technician: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
