A hybrid role. First, they ensure the office operates smoothly by managing varied responsibilities that keep the office running to brand standards. They are also responsible for planning and executing all events.

$18 / hour

We are a growing, new business and the hours currently range from 8 - 20 hours / week. The hope is that this grows into a full time position in the future.

**Responsibilities**
- Administration duties (greeting clients, cleaning, invoicing, booking appointments)
- Assist in vendor relationship management
- Be a positive and professional first point of contact for our space
- Communicating with clients during every step of the process
- Deal with customer complaints or issues
- Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
- Ensuring availability to help colleagues and employees where necessary
- Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
- Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
- Greet and assist visitors when they arrive at the office
- Maintain files and records with effective filing systems
- Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
- Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
- Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
- Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Support other teams with various administrative tasks
- Understand requirements for each event

**Requirements and skills**
- Able to handle stress and remain calm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Experience as event coordinator, or hospitality is a plus
- Experience in customer service will be a plus
- Experience organizing successful events
- Knowledge of basic recruitment practices
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Google Workspace and digital softwares
- Reliable with patience and professionalism
- Resourceful and self motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
- Working knowledge of office equipment

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-20 per week

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

- Lindsay, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
