**Job Description**:
First impressions are everything Your engaging smile and personality are the essence of a great Night Auditor and Security Officer with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As you personally greet our guests and assist them throughout the day, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of turning moments into memories and providing a safe atmosphere for our guests and colleagues alike.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, your essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Greet, check in, and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed
- Be knowledgeable regarding all guestrooms, suites, and services at the hotel
- Maintain current and correct posting of all charges
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- Review routing, rates and all night auditing functions
- Cash handling, which includes currency exchange and balancing a float
- Patrol 350,000 square feet citing insecurities and fire hazards
- Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, colleagues, and hotel premises
- Follow department policies, safety policies, and service standards
- Other duties as required or assigned
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
- Working night shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am)
**Qualifications**:
Your experience and skills include:
- High school diploma is needed
- 2 years of college is an asset
- One year of hotel front desk agent or night audit experience as an asset, Property Manager - Opera, Microsoft Office as an asset
- Previous experience in a Security role required
- College/University certificate, previous security experience
- Smart Serve certification required
- High level of physical fitness
- Certification in CPR First Aid required
- Previous PMS experience is an asset
- Previous experience in front office in similar role, preferably a 4/5 Star/Diamond hotel
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and non-verbal
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and manage conflicting priorities
- Must have the ability to hand cash effectively and accurately
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with mínimal supervision
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs
