Furniture Merchandiser

We are a fast growing e-commerce company, right now we are looking for a market sensitive Furniture Merchandiser responsible to lead the company developing new products and improving existing products.
The responsibilities of a Furniture Merchandiser include attending online product trade shows at our HQ, providing up-to-date product reports including aging status and inventory levels to the marketing and sales teams. Additionally, managing reports to accurately convey product issues to HQ, discussing solutions with HQ, and providing resolutions. The role also involves improving buying desire by refining and editing online product descriptions, as well as utilizing strong organizational skills to handle assigned duties. The Furniture Merchandiser will collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, warehouse, customer service, and management teams to ensure seamless teamwork.
**Responsibilities**:
**Product Procurement and Management**
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement and management within the furniture product industry
- Responsible for communication and coordination with suppliers to ensure product quality and delivery timelines
**ERP System and Office Software Skills**
- Familiar with ERP system operations
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word
**Market Research and Product Development**
- Keen awareness of market trends, promptly providing suggestions for product improvement and development
- Assist in formulating and implementing product strategies
**Data Analysis and Reporting**
- Proficient in analyzing sales data, generating relevant reports, and providing effective business insights
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering or Industrial Design, with marketing sense
- Experience in the Canadian market and product procurement
- Strong PC skills with strong MS Excel and Word knowledge
- Be comfortable using ERP such as Oracle
- Work well within a team
- Creative and innovative thinking skills
- Problem-solving skills
- With eager and aggressive attitude
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement and management within the furniture product industry
