Use your multi-disciplinary skills and experience, along with your love of collaboration, to contribute to the building of St. John Ambulance’s Emergency Response Program.

The Emergency Response Coordinator is a dynamic person who will take on various tasks and projects toward fully implementing the ERU Program. The work will be varied and may include working on memoranda of understanding; and coordinating training activities and exercises.

The Emergency Response Coordinator will report to the Director of Community Services and will work closely with other members of the Saskatchewan Council staff. Relationship building with various stakeholders both within and outside the organization will be imperative to success.

St. John Ambulance works within the Microsoft Office environment and utilizes Teams as its collaborative space.

This is a contract term position that ends 24 MARCH 2026. No assurances of extension can be provided at this time, as it depends on Federal funding.

**Responsibilities**:
Acting as the primary point of contact for Emergency Response Unit leadership and staff regarding the establishment, training, administration, and deployment of ERUs.Coordinating Council responses to Requests for Service, acting as the point-of-contact for deployment planning and execution.Reviewing existing provincial and municipal Memoranda of Understanding; and working with local units/branches to establish new MOUs for ERU services.Representing the Council at meetings with Provincial ER officials, NGO alliances, Municipal Associations, and other ERU related groups and agencies.Reviewing and ensuring all ERU Program administrative, equipment and training materials are available and shared.Entering and tracking necessary information in the Volunteer Management System to produce reports for use by local, provincial, and national stakeholders and decision makers.

**Qualifications**:
Excellent time management and strong prioritization skills to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Strong multi-tasking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.A dynamic personality able to generate and maintain professional relationships both within SJA and with external partners.Experience working with volunteers.Experience working with dogs - you must like dogs.Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.A post-secondary diploma/degree or a suitable combination of education and working experience in emergency response.Experience within the not-for-profit sector is an asset.Physically fit.

Salary

Full-time salary range $42,000-$47,000 year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
