**Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact**
- Provide QA inspections and ensure procedures and processes for specialized inspection tooling are acceptable for use on site
- Assist with preparing and reviewing project Inspection and Test Plans, project quality plans, and Non-Conformance reports (NCRs).
- Provide QA support during outages (BRIMS and others)
- Act as a QA resource to Department Managers and Project Leaders
- Liaise with Department Managers, Project Leaders, Project Sponsors, other QA team members at Kinectrics, and Customers
- Assist in procurement engineering activities, such as preparing Incoming Inspections
- Support preparation and review of procedures for activities in a nuclear power plant
- Support preparation of project closeout documentation, such as history dockets
- Ensure staff and customers are provided with timely and accurate QA information and status updates
- Support with responding to customer corrective action requests
- Support the ONSF team in resolving quality issues and challenges
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the QA process
- Contribute to the evaluation of projects and lessons learned via post-project review processes and quality audits
- Provide support to Project Leaders as required to close project QA documentation and archive appropriate records
- Other duties as assigned

**Competencies**:

- Demonstrated capability and experience to meet critical outage deadlines.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative to propose new business ideas in Ontario Nuclear Services.
- Highly innovative and creative in seeking technical solutions to Customer issues.
- Proven skills with a variety of software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong customer orientation and commitment to Kinectrics and Business Unit goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team situation.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

**What You Need to Succeed**
- Post-Secondary Education in Mechanical Engineering Technicians/Technology. Specializing in mechanical NDE is considered an asset.
- A period of at least 8 years in the Nuclear Industry is considered necessary to gain this experience
- Knowledge of welding and weld inspection processes.
- Experience with Process Improvement/Continuous Improvement.
- Experience with Non-Conformance Reporting.
- Experience with performing, or supporting, quality audits
- Requires engineering knowledge of and project experience with nuclear inspection and repair tooling.
- Field experience at CANDU site(s).
- Experience in field deployment of tooling to Nuclear Power Plants is required.
