**Lathe and Mill Machine Operator (MANUAL) Vaughan**

**HOURS: 8 hour Day Shift - 40 hour week Monday - Friday (7:15am - 3:45pm)**

**HOURLY SALARY: $35-50/hour ++++ benefits / bonus -- PERMANENT**

Established, Successful, _GROWING AGAIN_ High Quality Precision Machine Parts Shop (manufacturing and fabrication) seeking **Experienced MANUAL Lathe and Mill Machine Operator**. **NEED BOTH MANUAL LATHE AND MANUAL MILL MACHINE EXPERIENCE.**
**...any CNC experience also a plus.**

**Job Duties - Need Both MANUAL Lathe & MANUAL Mill Machine Operator experience**:

- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are being made according to specifications
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges.
- Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
- Set up and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine
- Work from sketches, verbal, and print information in order to produce projects according to specifications
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as Manual Mills/Lathes, Drill Press, Sanders, Grinders, and other support equipment to perform precision machining operations.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience; 5 years + preferred**
- Demonstrated Ability to Utilize Measuring Equipment in support of Quality Requirements
- Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Sketches
- Ability to hold tight machining tolerances
- Ability to Understand various Tooling Technology
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
- Strong Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Safety
- Basic English Language Skills
