**Job Details**

**Position Title**: Government Affairs & Funding Coordinator

**Status**: FT Support

**Hours**:40 hours per week

**Faculty/Department**: Government Relations, Marketing, and Communication (GRMC)

**Campus/Location**:North Campus

**Salary**: Min $33.38 - Max $38.75 (Payband H)

**What you will do**:
The incumbent works in a complex environment requiring high sensitivity, responsiveness, resourcefulness, proactivity and confidentiality. The incumbent must present a professional image of the College by interacting knowledgeably and courteously with the internal and external community. Other duties may include preparing minutes for grant meetings at Humber and supporting the research and development of standalone government funding proposals as required by the Director. Other duties may also include supporting the government relations work as needed.

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**
- A 4-year degree or equivalent in Administration or a related field of study.

**Experience**
- Minimum of five years working in a post-secondary environment and have a strong aptitude to research capabilities.
- Project management experience is required; Formal project management training a strong asset.
- Experience working with a wide range of departments and faculties, including Executive level, in a project management/coordination capacity.
- Experience communicating with civil service and political offices at any level of government an asset. Ability to navigate Ministry resources, including funding opportunities, a strong asset.
- Experience dealing with sensitive information an asset.

**Skills**
- Must be computer literate and have a strong facility with the internet as well as with various software programs including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, spreadsheets, and database management programs. Facility with Microsoft SharePoint and online meeting platforms is an asset.
- Must have demonstrated ability to organize and prepare a diversified range of documentation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proactive with demonstrated project management experience.
- Must be able to concisely summarize information.
- Must have sound judgment, tact, problem-solving skills, policy and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an eye for detail.
- Must have the ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
- Must be able to work independently and collaborate and participate effectively within a team environment. Must be able to work independently with limited direction.
