Dispatcher/planner

**Position**: Planner / Dispatcher

**Location**: Calgary, AB **Pro-formance Intermodal Inc.**

**Status**: Full-time

We are currently looking for a well-organized, excellent communicator who can execute the day-to-day functions, including but not limited to:

- Monitoring the activities of company drivers and brokers
- Monitoring load status to ensure on time pick-up and delivery standards are met
- Serving as a point of contact for all customers and resolving issues/inquiries
- Dispatch drivers effectively and efficiently.
- Data entry for all loads in to out TMS
- Handle all details outlined in the training manual
- Receiving and updating dispatch information to/from drivers
- Identify issues and help with resolutions
- Keeping records, monitoring drivers' daily logs for errors or violations, and monitoring their working hours and equipment availability
- Keeping tabs on the weather at all drivers' locations to be able to flag potential issues, typically with the aid of numerous computer programs
- Serving as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers' health and safety with customer requirements
- Coordinating and managing the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how many trucks and drivers are out

**Experience**:
5-7 years related experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- CN/CP: 2 years (required)
- Logistics: 5 years (required)
