Reporting to the Unit Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

- To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
- To be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
- To receive, warehouse, unpack, check, deliver and ship merchandise on a regular basis and in accordance with Hardware Department Standards.
- To maintain current and accurate records of all merchandise entering or leaving the unit warehouse and to process receiving records, packing slips and invoices and distribute them to the responsible managers on a daily basis in accordance with prescribed procedures and Hardware Department Standards.
- To be familiar with the lines of merchandise handled in the various departments to the degree required to identify possible errors when merchandise is being received.
- To advise the responsible manager of the merchandise received, and to move it into position for placement on the floor or for storage, as required.
- To initiate claims for short-shipped merchandise and to assemble damaged merchandised as received in the warehouse and advise the responsible manager for markdown recording and claims preparation.
- To maintain the warehouse in an orderly, organized manner.
- To keep aisles and exits clear of obstruction at all times as required to comply with existing fire regulations.
- To be responsible for the security of the warehouse area - receiving doors locked at all times except when receiving or shipping merchandise; in and out shipments properly accounted for.
- To be responsible for ordering, merchandising and displaying of product as directed by the manager.
- To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
- To maintain constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.
- To adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op policies and procedures.
- To operate all equipment in a safe responsible manner.
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Must have minimum 6 months experience with receiving, warehousing, and delivery procedures.
- Must be capable of working effectively with a minimum of supervision.
- Must have one year hardware product experience and sufficient knowledge of hardware to operate in all areas of the department.
- Must have experience with the operation of equipment such as pallet jack, forklift, and power jack.
- Must be in good health and physically able to handle the work required.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to fulfill physical job requirements including: lifting and carrying of 50-75 lbs of force occasionally, 10-20 lbs of force constantly, and the ability to climb ladders.
- Applicant must be able to work **mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.**
