Analytical Chemist I (1- Year Contract)

We are seeking a skilled **Analytical Chemist **with a B.Sc. in Chemistry with Minimum 0-2 years experience in a laboratory setting, preferably a pharmaceutical company.

You are logical and have excellent oral and written communication skills. You have great accuracy and precision in all testing that you conduct, and interpretation of analytical data and technical report writing are your strength.

**Requirements**:

- University degree or equivalent in science
- Minimum 0-2 years experience in a laboratory setting, preferably a pharmaceutical company.
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal/leadership skills.
- Must be willing and able to work in a structured work environment with regard to safety and consistent conformance to standard operating procedures and work place practices.
- Experience in basic analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated good documentation skills

**In this position you will be primarily responsible for**
- Performing analytical testing of assigned samples within required deadlines.
- Performing analysis according to established test methods and specifications.
- Use of analytical instruments to generate analytical data, instrumentation to include balances, pH meter, FTIR, KF, UV, Osmometer, titrator, polarimeter and other analytical equipment as required.
- Working closely with others in the group to maintain laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Following all safety policies and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintenance and upkeep of instrumentation as assigned.
- Maintenance of documentation, including lab notebooks, equipment logbooks and analytical data
- Report all issues such as out of specification results to supervisor immediately.
- Any other duties which might arise during the course of a project.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
