**Mechanical Technician**

Duties and responsibilities:

- Implement preventive maintenance for turf equipment and golf carts.
- Handle repairs and maintain organized inventory with detailed expense and repair records.
- Comprehend the impact of cut quality and height on playing surfaces.
- Prioritize safety, adhering to health guidelines, in a clean, organized maintenance shop.
- Maintain positive interactions with members, guests, and staff while delivering results in changing environments.
- Monitor fuel levels and oversee proper hazardous waste disposal.
- Maintain and repair equipment in a well-equipped facility, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Keep comprehensive records of all maintenance activities.
- Reel sharpening

Qualifications:

- Proficient in engine repair, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and reel grinding.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Holds a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the golf industry.
- Demonstrates expertise in diagnosing and operating gasoline and diesel engines.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic systems.
- Experienced in handling air-cooled engines like chainsaws and string trimmers.
- Familiar with utilizing Foley grinding equipment for reel maintenance.
- Proficient in welding (both acetylene and electric methods).
- Knowledgeable about Toro, John Deere, and Jacobsen turf equipment.

**Location: Lindsay, ON**
