Reporting to the Facilities Foreman, the Facilities Labourer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various facilities within the Town of Vegreville. This position is responsible for general repair of infrastructure and required to work under minimum supervision. Exceptional customer service is required as position deals with internal clients on a day-to-day basis. This position must be motivated in all work areas and have a great concern for safety.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain indoor facilities for cleanliness.
- Change light bulbs.
- Minor plumbing repairs.
- Assist with in house construction projects.
- Move furniture and office items.
- Painting.
- Set up, tear down, and cleaning the Social Centre.
- Cleaning and maintenance at the Aquatic Centre.
- Small equipment maintenance as per operator manual and supervisor requirements.
- Maintain positive relations with employees and the public.
- Ensure assigned duties are completed within timelines outlined.
- Various duties as assigned by the Facilities Foreman.

**KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Capable of working with minimum supervision and self-motivated.
- Physically capable of performing work as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively and offer excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
- Possess a valid Class 5 Operator’s Licence.
- Previous maintenance and facilities experience is considered an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (may include days, evenings, and weekends).

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
