Conditions of Employment:

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Extensive experience performing administrative duties, which includes reviewing and processing complex documentation in a court, legal or related environment
- Experience providing in-person service to the public, judiciary, legal profession, law enforcement agencies or other justice partners
- Excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy and tact
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute toward a respectful workplace
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet workload demands
- Ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and make independent decisions using sound judgement
- Ability to maintain accuracy and pay attention to detail
- Excellent English verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate legal principles in plain language
- Excellent English written communication skills including proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
- Excellent French verbal communication skills
- Excellent French written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) or equivalent software

**Desired**:

- Experience dealing with processes, procedures and documents within the Court of King’s Bench
- Experience working with court-related computer systems, such as the Court Registry System

**Duties**:
The Deputy Registrar reviews and processes documents for prompt filing pursuant to Court of King’s Bench Rules and various federal and provincial statutes, acts and regulations. This position issues all court pleadings, processes documents filed in all divisions of the Court of King's Bench (civil, family, child protection, criminal, probate, small claims, and bankruptcy) and enters information on the Court Registry System according to a standards manual. The Deputy Registrar provides information in person, over the phone and in writing to members of the public and legal profession and ensures quality control of legal documents flowing through the court.
