**Responsibilities**
**_ Financial Planning & Analysis _**
- Preparation and analysis of quarterly enterprise-wide financial projections
- Maintaining a dynamic summary of project proformas for reporting to the Chairman and CEO
- Monitoring upcoming sources and uses of capital to ensure the company can execute its business plan
- Assisting our Land and Development teams with the preparation and updating of project proformas
- Preparing ad-hoc financial projections and analyses
**_Financial Reporting_**
- Working with the Director, Real Estate Finance and Senior Vice President Finance to fulfill corporate and project-level information requests
- Collaborating with the Controller to enhance financial reporting under our newly-implemented cloud-based ERP
- Utilizing an in-depth understanding of the business and accounting to assist the Controller with identifying and resolving significant accounting and audit issues
- Reviewing current processes and identifying opportunities for change
- Developing/enhancing, implementing and monitoring of financial controls
**_Financial Management_**
- Managing our Insurance team and ensuring appropriate corporate and project insurance is maintained
- Collaborating with our Tax and Legal teams to establish optimal corporate structures for our upcoming developments
- Approving financial transactions for payment or issuance of Letters of Credit
- Monitoring of the regulatory environment to identify key risks and ensuring compliance
- Day-to-day mentorship of Finance and Accounting staff
- Assisting the Senior Vice President Finance on special projects
**Qualifications and Attributes**
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, specializing in Finance or Accounting
- A CPA designation preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years progressive work experience in Finance or Accounting roles
- Proficiency in Canadian private company GAAP (ASPE)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 with intermediate to advanced skill in Excel
- Exceptional work ethic
- An ability to demonstrate effective organizational skills in order to meet timelines
- A detail-oriented approach to carrying out responsibilities
- A commitment to working in a cooperative, team-focused manner
Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 (plus bonus and benefits).
