We are currently seeking Site HSE Coordinators (Construction Safety Officers) with a passion for safety for various job sites around the Lower Mainland including Surrey and Vancouver.

**Who You Are**:
As a Site HSE Coordinator (Construction Safety Officer), you will promote a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on-site. You will provide health, safety, and environmental support to help ensure Peak meets industry standards. You are passionate about safe work practices and use a positive, motivational approach to ensure compliance with safety procedures and accident prevention. You will support Project and Site Management throughout the construction phase and be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and maintenance of Peak’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining and enforcing Site Safety Rules and Practices
- Ensuring strict compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, company Occupational Health & Safety Program
- Provide monthly reporting update to Corporate HSE Department
- Conducting safety meetings and toolbox talks, and reviewing FLHAs
- Administering First Aid as necessary
- Participating in weekly Corporate HSE team meetings and providing detail updates on Project Status
- Promptly reporting all first aid, accident/incident, near-miss and other related Project HSE matters to the Corporate HSE Department
- Monitoring safety compliance of workers and sub-contractors.
- Conduct site-specific health and safety orientations for all new site workers and visitors
- Facilitate and participate in site inspections and implementing corrective action
- Proactively identifying hazards and implementing preventative measures
- Preparing site safety plans, conduct hazard assessments, incident investigations and risk assessments
- Reviewing sub-contractor documentation for accuracy and provide feedback to personnel
- Assisting with site safety related carpentry duties (guardrails, handrails, floor openings cover), as necessary
- Mentoring/coaching trade partners and construction crews on best safety practices, policies and procedures in place.
- Reviewing the emergency response plan, conducting annual drills, and project site first aid emergency response as required.

**Experience and Qualifications required**:

- Experience overseeing health and safety on a construction site
- Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or National Construction Safety Officer ticket
- Occupational First Aid Level II (OFA 2) ticket with transport or First Aid Level III (OFA 3) ticket (valid)
- Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) and basic Adobe
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to maintain detailed records

**Salary**: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
