**Role**: The Dispatcher plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution of dispatch operations, guaranteeing the secure, precise, and punctual delivery of customer orders across 5 locations in Northern Ontario and 1 in Quebec. With a sharp focus on safety and efficiency, this key position collaborates closely with the Operations Supervisor, diligently crafting optimized schedules, assigning capable drivers, and prioritizing customer satisfaction as the goal.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Dispatching**: Generate daily delivery schedule based on equipment availability, maintenance schedule, driver availability, traffic patterns, operational constraints, and customer priority. Adjust the schedule daily for unplanned priorities. Establish effective communication channels with third-party delivery companies to ensure seamless coordination of priorities within service levels.
**Continuous Improvement**:Proactively assess and adjust driver assignments to maximize productivity and meet delivery timelines while balancing driver workload and legal compliance requirements. Develop processes and tools to increase productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
**Customer Service **Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates on delivery schedules, address any potential delays or issues, and manage customer expectations. Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
**Route Administration**: Coordinate and manage the administrative aspects of daily routes for fuel delivery operations, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping. Investigate and consolidate fuel inventory discrepancies daily.
**Operational Support**:Act as a primary point of contact for drivers regarding route assignments, changes, and customer instructions. Address dispatch route inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively. Ensure the workload assigned adheres to all relevant regulations and policies. Act as a point of escalation for local customer issues.
**IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- **Location**:Must live in Hearst, ON. On site position from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.
- **Travel requirements**: 0%
- **Education**:High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain or similar field preferred.
- **Experience**:Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, such as operations coordinator, dispatching, or logistics. Transferrable/relevant experience for this role includes project management, customer relationship management, time-management intensive roles, team leadership and coordination, and experience in cross-functional teamwork and conflict management.
- **Language**:Bilingual French and English, written and spoken required.
- **Accomplishments**:Able to provide evidence of accomplishments in areas such as improving route efficiency, effective resource allocation, team collaboration, technology adoption, conflict resolution.
- **Technology**: Advanced experience in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, Database Software, CRM, Dispatch Software.
- **Additional skills**:Safety, service, and savings mindset, promoting effective communication, attentive and active listener, customer service oriented, attention to detail, positive attitude, stress management, cultural sensitivity.
