qualification standard as follows:
CT-IAU qualification standard
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field

relevant to the duties of the position.

On September 28, 2023, indeterminate Administrative Services (AS) employees in internal audit positions will be deemed to meet the new CT-IAU qualification standard for future appointments in this category, based on their education, training and/or experience. This is often referred to as "acquired rights."

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Significant* experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management**.

EX2: Significant* experience writing and presenting briefing material to senior management**.

EX3: Significant* experience establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships, negotiating and consulting with various internal and external partners and stakeholders.

EX4: Significant* experience in coordinating the Audit’s Practice Management activities including managing the quality assurance and improvement program and reporting of results (internal and external quality assessments of audit engagements, post audit/evaluation surveys).

EX5: Experience assessing risk in organizations (e.g. risk based audit plan development, corporate risk assessments, risk assessments for audit engagement).
