**Job description**

We are looking for a Community support worker for our day service. Work will be a combination of 1-1 support for a young woman, 4 days a week and 1 day a week in program support. A total of 30 hrs (5days - 6 hr days) The young woman and her family are asking for a female staff to support her physical needs.

We provide individual and small group support to people with diverse abilities. This includes support for life skills, employment, recreation, education and social.

Preference given to individuals with proven experience in supporting individuals with community inclusion activities, developing trusting relationships, providing respectful personal care, safe use of lifts, transfers and supporting people who use a wheelchair or walker.
Familiarity with individual communication devices, enthusiasm for working as part of a team is an asset, as is education in community support work, residential care or a related field.

You will need
- Vehicle and full drivers’ license (no ‘N’ no ‘L’),
- Cell phone (we use text for booking shifts)
- Clear criminal record check
- Current First Aid and CPR - if not then proof of registration and take within1st month of hiring
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 - ( We have a health mandate in place in our sector.)
- Clear TB test
