At Ottawa Foyers Partage, the role of Program Supervisor is of utmost importance. Under the direction of a Program Director, the Program Supervisor is responsible and accountable for:
- The safety, security, welfare and quality of life of the individuals we support.
- The smooth and efficient operation of the program(s) assigned.
- Fostering positive professional relationships with the individuals we support, employees, families, and community members.
- Provide management support on a 24-hour rotational on-call system.
- Ensuring program(s) meet or exceed the requirements of all pertinent local, provincial and federal legislation, MCCSS requirements and OFP policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
The minimum educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree in developmental services or another diploma/degree in social sciences or social enterprise. Previous management experience (3-5 years) is required in a non-profit agency, preferably one that supports individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Clear Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- English (fluent - understand, speak and write)
- Valid Ontario Driver’s license and ability to be insured
- Experience in developing and managing social enterprises.
- Experience building partnerships, promoting services and business development.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge and experience in principles, practices, trends, and research related to diversity, equity, and inclusion are assets.
- Individual-focused; committed to improving quality of life, individual and family rights, and community participation. (person-centered approaches)
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated maturity, sound judgement and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork, a positive attitude, creative, personable, enthusiastic, excellent problem-solving, ability to think outside the box, change agent, and program development.
- This position requires flexible hours, on-call availability, emergency or crisis response, coverage of all programs, and attendance at some functions within or outside OFP. At times, there will be evening and weekend programming.
- Internet and Research Skills: Ability to effectively use internet search engines to research and identify resources and information relevant to the role.
- Client Management Systems: Familiarity with online payroll and scheduling systems to manage staff schedules, timesheets, and time off requests.

- Video Conferencing Tools: Competency in using video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, for virtual meetings and training sessions.
- Adaptability with Technology: General knowledge and adaptability with commonly accessed technologies to enhance efficiency and communication.
- Must have everyday use of a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, eligibility for insurance coverage, and excellent driving record.
