This position will see you taking on tasks for multiple local and international clients, using your expertise in strategy, your smarts in social media marketing and your eye for design to help them succeed. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Birchbark team to ensure that deadlines are met and content is always one step ahead of the curve. Initiative will be second nature to you

You will have the options of joining our small team in our downtown Peterborough, ON office, working remotely or a mix of the two.

**Responsibilities**
- Build and manage content/editorial calendars that will grow and engage a qualified audience to our clients’ social media channels - Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement
- Design digital and print ads, along with other marketing materials & documents
- Run paid digital ad campaigns - Google Ads & social ads
- Monitor social media comments and messages, and engage in a professional and timely manner
- Measure traffic and engagement on social media platforms and develop reports and strategies to increase effectiveness

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience in social media and digital marketing. Bonus points if it’s in the travel industry
- Graphic design skills and experience working in the Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
- Hands on experience with MailChimp, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads & Analytics and Canva
- Positive attitude, attention to detail and customer oriented

**Nice-to-haves**
- Travel, tourism and/or outdoor industry experience
- Video editing and/or production experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
