**Position Title: Logistics Supervisor - Columbia Fuels**

**Team and Location: Commercial - Nanaimo, BC**

**Minimum Starting Salary from: $ **72,400 /year**

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Management:

- Management of day-to-day operations related to commercial product delivery.
- Accountable for all logistic/delivery metrics such as L/KM, fill rate, run-out metric, etc.
- Supervision of direct reports including Drivers, Dispatch and oversight of the daily plans provided by the Pacific Planners.
- Must be able to evaluate plans and suggestions from Dispatch and Planners and determine best plan of action
- Ensure compliance with Hours-of-Service legislation, proper tracking of hours on electronic logs, driver paid time and driver schedules.
- Manage coordination of all Driver paid time off - ensure proper coverage and oversee what is being approved by the Ops Supervisors to ensure no gaps in operational delivery requirements.
- Provide leadership and build a strong team environment - accountable for performance management, disciplinary, salary budget, etc.
- Ensures the facility and its employees are complying with all safety procedures set by the company.
- Schedule on-call rotation for Dispatch and participate in rotations.

Fleet Maintenance:

- Resource planning - identifying need for Contractors an/or third-party carriers when required.
- Maintain safe operation of fleet, including scheduling regularly required maintenance
- Knowledge of trucking/equipment required.
- Budgetary oversight of all fleet maintenance.
- Troubleshooting ability to understand best and most cost effective.
- Reporting and tracking of fleet maintenance requirements.
- Month end close procedures / equipment inventories
- Schedule runs accordingly to accommodate month end balancing activities.
- Daily truck balancing and month end.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience in Dispatch or Logistics required.
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Must be able to think on your feet and manage change quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to manage stress.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability.
- Experience with propane, anhydrous ammonia, fuel, or in the oil industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of hours of service and electronic log books.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Experience working with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- JDE experience an asset but training will be provided.
- Experience with RoadNet or AWE is considered an asset, but training will be provided.
- Large commercial truck knowledge and Industry experience an asset.
- Strong knowledge of HSE and Environment policy; SOP’s & SWP’s.
- DOT-Trucker work hours followed logs, trucker pre-trip inspection daily, etc.
- First Aid Training.
- College or University degree an asset
