_This position will work with the pastoral team, staff and the Worship Coordinator to assist with the audio visual needs of WFMC, both internally and in the community, and to provide technical support for Sunday Services._
- It will be essential for the Media Technician to work well with volunteers and other staff. In addition to the specific tasks as outlined below, there are expectations that the Media Technician will rise beyond the required “job description” and meet the needs as presented and complete other duties as assigned with the passion as one serving Christ. This is the nature of ministry._

**Supervision**: The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Worship Coordinator, with oversight of the Lead Pastor.

**Gifts and Skill**:

- Have a heart for worshiping God;
- Be able to work in a team setting and take direction;
- Be willing to be trained in media technology (i.e. mixing audio, creating videos, running livestreams, working with website design and social media)
- Have good verbal and written communication skills; required for communicating with worship teams;
- Ability to complete all WFMC Policy to Protect requirements will be important; including a criminal reference check and/or personal reference check(s) as appropriate.
- Be able to think quickly and react/trouble-shoot properly in high stress situations; and
- Be willing to attend training sessions and read/watch other training material for improving existing skills.
- Ability to play a musical instrument and/or lead congregational singing is an asset.(not required)

**Key Responsibilities and assigned Job Duties**
- **During the week, support the Worship Coordinator in the following responsibilities**:_

1. Attend the weekly staff meeting to review the previous week’s service and finalize plans for the upcoming service;
2. Provide audio visual support for worship team practices;
3. Perform quality checks on all audio-visual equipment needed for the upcoming service;
4. Solicit, merge and mix all audio-visual components required

5. Work with team preparing announcement videos and other media needed for the church ministry;
6. Provide audio/visual support for mid-week activities and events as needed.
- **Sunday Morning Pre-service**_

1. Set up the stage for service participants as required;
2. Setup and check all audio-visual components for the service;
3. Participate in pre-service prayer and walk-through.
- **Sunday Morning Service, work with Worship Coordinator and other scheduled technicians to**:_

1. Adjust all audio-visual levels during service as needed;
2. Monitor live streaming on YouTube;
3. Follow stage and schedule cues; and

4. Participate on a Sunday morning Worship Team, as skill and scheduling allows;
5. Provide a distraction-free service as it relates to media production.
- **Sunday Morning Post-service**_

1. Note any broken/faulty equipment and take it out of service if possible; and

2. Turn off and clear the stage of equipment as needed.
- **Assist with Summer Children & Student Ministries by**:_

1. Working with Summer Employees to develop and implement programming for Sunday School, as needed;
2. Assisting with the development of summer children/youth ministry programs; and

3. Providing media support and additional help during week-long summer Vacation Bible School (Aug 12-16).

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
