The Manager, Controller US maintains accounting and controlling oversight of the US legal entities. The role will report to the Director Controller - North America, within the larger Corporate Controllership organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manager, Controller US is responsible for legal entity governance and oversight of the proprietary entities in US.
- Conducts monthly reviews of the financial statements of all markets in the region for ensuring integrity of the financial statements and proactively reporting any issues and risks to the FP&A teams.
- Works closely with the country, regional and functional FP&A teams as well as other finance or non-finance teams (Pricing, Treasury, Tax, GCO, Compliance, GRE etc.) for coordinating or supporting any Controllership requests from time to time
- Coordinates the monthly close activities for the region so that they get executed in a well-disciplined, consistent, timely and accurate manner with a goal of accelerating the overall close process through the close of the reconciliation process.
- Prepares/reviews reconciliations and monitors the reconciliation process and policy adherence and works with the respective teams for ensuring timely completion of the reconciliations and lead initiatives to improve the quality and overall improvements in the reconciliation process e.g. Blackline optimization
- Manages and centrally oversees the Software and IT related accounting process for the Group
- Is responsible for the engagement between the regional/local finance teams and shared services (internal - Payroll, GSR Finance, P2P, O2C and external - EXL/JTP )
- Serves as the interface between the Corporate Controllership in HQ and local market finance teams and is responsible for coordinating requests from the HQ for the North America Controllership team
- Monitors compliance with groups’ US GAAP accounting policies and implementation of relevant standard procedures and practices across the markets in the region with the goal of achieving standardization across markets
- Oversight of the centralized accounting and reconciliation activities managed out of external EXL shared services to ensure SLA’s are met and service levels are maintained
- Coordination of group audits and internal audit activities for the region as well as the group and monitoring and reporting the status of statutory audit for all North America entities and work with the Controllers for any audit support on key issues
- Drive and/or monitor several initiatives for system implementations, transformations and enhancements a well as integration activities
- Partner with the Internal control team to design and strengthen governance and control framework specially on the internal controls over financial reporting for the markets in the region and works with the local finance and process teams in further strengthening these controls through process documentation and improvements
- Work closely with the regional leads for the other finance towers in Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) to support the market finance teams
- Support several projects & initiatives related to M&A, Reconciliations, Policy formulation, Controllership conferences etc.
- Works on global initiatives and projects from time to time and supports the day to day activities in the Controllership team including publishing financial results for the GBT Group and/or supporting completion of Balance sheet reviews /dashboards etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA / Experienced Accountant, Big 4 + Industry experience is preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years experience
- Knowledge of Net Suite, Blackline and BI/ Host Analytics tool will be an added advantage
