**Overview**
As a Pet Store Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and service to our furry clients and their owners. This position involves engaging with customers, managing transactions, and ensuring that all pets receive the highest level of care. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment while demonstrating your passion for animals and commitment to customer satisfaction.

**Duties**
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting pet owners and addressing their needs.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing sales and returns.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on pet care items.
- Upsell products and services based on customer needs and preferences.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring cleanliness and proper storage of supplies.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, including restocking shelves as necessary.
- Exhibit strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the day.

**Qualifications**
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred, particularly in a retail or pet-related environment.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Is hard-working, efficient, speedy & physically strong (must be able to carry 30lbs)
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
