Join our team as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Compliance Advisor and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our electrical infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. This vital position reports directly to the CIP Compliance Supervisor and is essential in ensuring ATCO Electric's adherence to the Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP).

In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing our comprehensive CIP compliance program. Your expertise will guide the maintenance of security practices that support the reliable operation of Alberta's Bulk Electric System. You'll act as a cybersecurity and CIP compliance authority, collaborating closely with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to enhance our cybersecurity governance and infrastructure resilience.

**What You Get to Do**:
Lead the enhancement of our CIP Compliance Program, ensuring robust processes and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Craft and implement guidelines for contractor CIP compliance, focusing on the protection of sensitive engineering information and cybersecurity controls.
Develop standards for physical security engineering to safeguard future cyber-sensitive substation sites.
Manage and refine documentation for ATCO Electric's ARS Compliance Process in line with NERC CIP Version 5 standards.
Spearhead the adoption of compliance software tools and contribute to the development of internal control and change management processes.
Conduct thorough analyses, developing strategies to mitigate compliance risks and address potential contraventions to AESO CIP standards.
Prepare and oversee all internal and external compliance reporting, ensuring transparency and accuracy in communications with regulatory agencies.
Lead initiatives for data consistency and integrity, employing data analytics to identify and rectify discrepancies.

**What you Bring**:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Cyber Security, Information Systems Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may also be considered.
A Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation is preferred, along with 5+ years of experience in a transmission utility environment.
Familiarity with NIST security practices, ISO27001/27019, NERC CIP Standards, and/or Alberta ARS CIP Standards.
Prior auditing experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a strong foundation in data analytics.
