**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct cathodic protection surveys, including soil resistivity testing, potential measurements, and close-interval surveys.
- Install and maintain impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems according to industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of cathodic protection systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to cathodic protection systems, including rectifiers, anodes, reference electrodes, and electrical connections.
- Document survey findings, installation activities, and maintenance reports accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver high-quality corrosion control solutions to clients.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to learn and ambition to provide high quality work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in corrosion control, cathodic protection, or related fields preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft word and excel.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cathodic Protection Level 2 Technician with accompanied accreditation.
- Alberta Designated Occupation level 1 accreditation.
- Proficiency in conducting cathodic protection surveys and interpreting survey data using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cathodic protection systems, including impressed current and sacrificial anode systems.
- Ability to work 12-hour days and stay in remote locations for 2-week rotations.
- Capable of spending most of the day on your feet and conduct miscellaneous physical labour when required (hand digging, hiking, lifting. Etc.).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NACE, API, ASTM) related to cathodic protection practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Ability to operate off road equipment (ATV, UTV, snowmobile. ETC.) **is preferred**.
- Ability to pull/back up a trailer **is preferred**.
