Job Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring adherence to Good Documentation and Production Practices (GDP and GPP) and Health Canada Regulations. The Quality Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and compliance of Cannabis products through rigorous testing, collaboration with production teams, and adherence to regulatory standards. The Quality Technician is primarily responsible for conducting inline inspections, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization. ERP skills and previous experience in production/manufacturing along with Cannabis environment is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform visual inspections, pH testing, and where applicable, tests on samples according to established procedures.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvements and work with production staff to implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and extraction teams, to achieve quality objectives.
- Train production staff on established QMS and quality standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Review and implement cleaning documentation, room activity and scale verification logs.
- Report any deviations from established QMS and quality standards and assist in the investigation and resolution of issues.
- Monitor production environments, including cleanliness, temperature, and humidity, to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Approve the release of equipment and rooms.
- Perform and monitor in-process control points and take measures to eliminate deviations.
- Perform routine inspections of documentation to ensure Good Documentation Practices on all applicable documents.
- Other duties, as assigned by QA team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- 1 year of work experience in a quality control or similar environment within the cannabis, food, pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong knowledge of quality practices, standards, and regulations, including GPP and HACCP.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Proficiency in using ERP for documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment and ensure confidentiality.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Ability to manage time efficiently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Capable of multitasking with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.

Job Details:

- Pay: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (8am to 4pm), 40 per week
