Maintenance Technician/repair

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support both the operations and office team with the logistics of multiple moves-ins and move-outs. At Toronto Luxury Suites, we manage and maintain over 100 suites, mostly in condominiums, in the Greater Toronto Area. We work together as a diverse and innovative property management team with guests coming in from around the world. The Maintenance Technician/Repair role is an integral part of our team who should be able to understand the needs of the business, properties, and guests.
**What you bring to the table**:
- Must be a team player but also be able to work independently
- Possess excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Must be comfortable with the use of hardware and power tools (screwdriver, drill, etc.)
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge is an asset
**Physical Property & Asset Management**:
- One of your daily requirements will be responding to requests from residents and fulfilling these in a timely manner
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential properties
- Work with the team on schedules and deadlines
- Liaise with office team, operations team, and building management teams to complete any assigned tasks
- Conduct on-site quality inspections
- Move furniture, accessories, and art work in and out of storage facilities
- Rearranging and redecorating units as needed
- Organize or assist with small repairs, light painting
- Organize and maintain furniture in the warehouse on an ongoing basis
- Monitor safety, loss, and risk in each unit during move-out inspections
- Use of the company vehicle when required
- Suite setup which might include: minor cleaning, preparing furniture, and utility/media related items (cable, internet, Netflix, etc.)
- Be available for after-hours emergencies and other activities as needed
**Other Requirements**:
- Must have a valid G driver's license
- Valid police clearance check
- Must have basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Full-time position + benefits package/vacation days
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (occasional weekend availability for emergencies as needed)
