**Quality Manager**

Mitsui High-tec (Canada), Inc. is a newer manufacturing facility in Brantford and we require a Quality Manager to join our team There is huge potential for future growth due to our state of the art technology in the ever growing eco-friendly vehicles market. At the same time, we realize the we may have to face obstacles in the process of growing our business in Canada. We are looking for a person who exhibits enthusiasm in our dreams and would like to help us reach our long term goals. As a company we would like a person who can grow with us and be an important asset for many years to come.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Company by accomplishing the organization-wide business plan and objectives, assuring consistent quality of production. The Quality Manager plays an integral role in developing, managing, improving, and maintaining the Company’s Quality Assurance program. The Quality Manager is responsible for day to day operations, inspections, process control as well as working one on one with customers for audits and system related purposes.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supervises daily operations of the Quality Department
- Attend production, technical, and staff training meetings
- Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinates objectives in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
- Identify and resolve problems, completing audits, determining system improvements, and implementing change
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes
- Manage internal/external audit processes
- Manage cross functional problem solving and continuous improvement teams and activities
- Manage PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP
- Identify problem areas, recommend, coordinate, and implement solutions
- Provide technical and statistical expertise and support team members engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity
- Coordinate QA support activities, new products, customer process, etc.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain the ISO quality systems
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, report to management as needed
- Development and mentorship of the quality team
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Technical degree, preferably in the field of Quality or a minimum of 3-5 years as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment; automotive highly preferred
- Advanced understanding and experience with ISO based quality systems, specifically IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015
- Proven experience in a quality management environment with a technical background and understanding or hands-on experience in product, or process development
- Excellent customer centric and internal written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office software. Minitab experience preferred.
- Willing to travel, when required, including overseas
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
